Alexandra Alcala

Alexandra Alcala is a second year student at the University of San Diego majoring in Biology and Italian. She started working with HandsOn San Diego this year because she is a College Corps Fellow, an organization at her university that helps connect students with organizations. She also participates in activities on campus like her school's newspaper, which she writes for as an editor of the arts and culture section. She is also part of the international buddy program on her campus where she helps an international student settle into the university and helps with whatever they might struggle with in this new transition. These are her most important activities, even though she participates in more, like a part-time job.

Volunteering and helping the community around her has always been part of Alexandra's life, since high school she has been part of different organizations and has done different volunteering experiences. Now she has embarked on HandsOn to help the community around her.
