Join the HandsOn San Diego Advisory Board

If you are a Finance or Marketing professional looking to give back to San Diego County, we should talk! HandsOn San Diego, a program of Mission Edge, a 501(c)(3) organization, engages individuals as well as small and large groups by connecting them with local nonprofit organizations where they can donate their time and talent for a variety of projects and activities. Nonprofit organizations benefit because volunteer engagement increases their reach and capacity. Volunteers benefit because they witness first-hand how they are positively impacting the San Diego region.

HandsOn San Diego is able to engage over 8,500 volunteers and 100 schools, parks, and nonprofits because of the support of its ten-member Advisory Board. Our Board Members have a front row seat to the impact HandsOnSan Diego volunteers have throughout San Diego County.

Minimum qualifications for prospective Board Members include:

  • Previous volunteer experience in San Diego County

  • Previous nonprofit board experience

  • Previous fundraising experience 

  • Current HandsOn San Diego member, or willing to become one

  • Able to commit to a 2-year term

  • If invited to join the board, volunteer at least once during the onboarding process prior to the official start date.

Commitment
