Join HandsOn San Diego Wednesday, November 13, for our second VolunBEERS of 2024 at NOVO Brewing in Mission Valley!

Generous support from the San Diego community helps HandsOn San Diego support over 100 San Diego schools, parks and nonprofits. We would appreciate if you would consider donating and joining us for VolunBEERS where you have the opportunity to support HandsOn San Diego, give back to our local community through volunteer service, while enjoying the best beer San Diego has to offer!

We will also be celebrating our volunteers who give their time and dedication by helping our nonprofit partners, and impacting our community.

Finally, we are so excited to introduce our wonderful HandsOn San Diego Team including our office staff, College Corps Fellows and California Climate Action Project Coordinators. Please consider joining us for a fun night of volunteerism, community and to meet the incredible individuals who keep us going and make HandsOn San Diego what it is today.

Learn a little more about our VolunBEERS event:

During this edition of VolunBEERS, attendees will have the opportunity to enjoy the latest in craft brews from Novo Brazil Brewing while making no-sew pillows, dog tug toys, and small blankets for pets using fleece. These items will be donated to Dreams for Change to distribute to their participants, many of which are pet owners.

The mission of Dreams for Change responds to the needs of communities by creating innovative and cost-effective programs to empower the lives of underserved families and individuals in order to reach financial and housing stability. The loss of a vehicle is one of the final steps to chronic homelessness. Dreams for Change provides safety and case management for individuals living in their vehicles through their Safe Parking Program which provides supportive services and a safe place to park for families and individuals who are living in their vehicles. Dreams for Change also helped establish the first City of San Diego’s Safe Sleeping Program, which offers safe, legal camping space as an alternative to traditional congregate shelters for people experiencing homelessness.

Space and supplies are limited, so we recommend buying your tickets early.

General admission is $25 for the Forward ticket which includes project supplies + one non-alcoholic beverage. Drink deals are $30 for the Defender ticket which includes project supplies + one pour from NOVO Brewing, or $50 for the Goal ticket which includes project supplies + up to three pours from NOVO Brewing.

HandsOn San Diego is a 501(c)3 organization that is funded primarily through donations and corporate sponsors. Your donations help us continue our mission to strengthen communities through volunteer action. Because we believe that when individuals are actively engaged, communities are stronger.
