Administrative Assistant

For over 20 years, Reality Changers has helped first generation students become college graduates and agents of change in their communities. Volunteers can help them improve their outreach efforts by working with staff to digitize records of past participants and families. This project will increase their impact and strengthen their reach by allowing them to re-engage former students and alumni.

Volunteers with basic administrative and computer skills are needed to help with data entry and data management projects. Volunteers will come in-person to their office and work alongside staff to digitize records and organize data. All training and supplies will be provided.

Opportunity Requirements & Important Notes

• Time Commitment: Volunteers can set their own schedule during regular business hours, up to 10 hours per week. Volunteers must be available in person for this opportunity.

• Onboarding Process: A background check and negative TB test is required. This typically takes 1 - 2 weeks.

• Required Skills/Experience: Basic digital literacy is required, including the ability to operate basic G-suite tools (email, spreadsheets, and documents). A laptop will be provided.

• Desired Skills/Experience: Data management experience or customer relations management software experience is preferred.

• Physical Requirements: Volunteers should be comfortable sitting for long periods of time and able to lift up to 20 lbs. This project is able to make accommodations for individuals with physical limitations. Volunteers with limited mobility or who use wheelchairs can access the office space and work from a desk.

• Attire: Business casual, comfortable office attire.
