Web Development and Design Volunteer
Are you passionate about web design and development? Do you want to use your skills to make a positive impact in the community? Barrio Logan College Institute (BLCI) is seeking a dedicated and talented volunteer to help enhance and maintain their website.
Responsibilities of the Web Development and Design Volunteer include: Assisting with website updates and maintenance, implementing design improvements and ensuring website functionality, optimizing the website for performance and user experience, ensuring the website is mobile-friendly and accessible, troubleshooting and resolving any technical issues, collaborating with BLCI's team to create and upload new content, monitoring website analytics, and suggesting improvements.

Opportunity Requirements & Important Notes

Time Commitment: At least one semester (6 months). Long term volunteers are preferred. BLCI can work with a hybrid schedule as needed.

Onboarding Process: Application, interview, and background check. This process can take up to two weeks.

Required Skills/Experience: You must have intermediate computer knowledge. Knowledge of WordPress is preferred or prior experience with web design and search engine optimization.

Desired Skills/Experience: Background with computer knowledge.

Physical Requirements: This project is able to make accommodations for individuals with physical limitations and the space where this project takes place is wheelchair accessible.

Note: You will be assisting BLCI's volunteer associate with making changes to the website based on the tasks given.
