ECO: Weed Warriors
Increase biodiversity at the Scripps Coastal Reserve by clearing invasive plants so native plants and animals have space to thrive. There are federally listed endangered birds and a diverse native plant community on the reserve. Your support will promote their survival. Native plants are naturally deep rooted and protect the fragile coastline from erosion and cliff collapse.
Weed Warrior volunteers clear invasive plants at Scripps Coastal Reserve. The work is physical - it involves walking on dirt paths, bending over, digging weeds, cutting back light brush, hauling bags of plant debris. Volunteers will work as a group and have lots of fun working together.
